I have to Rant on this or I'll explode...
Edited on Fri Dec-02-05 02:52 PM by stop the bleeding
Does anyone else sometimes feel like they really, REALLY would like to inflict some sort of physical harm to the public figures and the sheeple that quote them when falsehoods and lies are touted as truth in regards to basically anything and everything from the past 5 years.

For example look at this post from another thread this is a great example of this.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=5494485&mesg_id=5494485

Now after reading something like that what do you do? When is this crap gonna stop. Enough is ENOUGH :nuke::nuke::nuke::nuke:

Or better yet, I should say I have had it, if I hear one more freeper/sheeple person quote some misinformation from the "spin o rama" I think that I may just end up doing something very violent.

I know that violence is not the answer, and I know to hit people with facts instead of fists:spank:, but you can only keep revisiting the facts so many times to keep debunking so many different falsehoods that are being put out.

I just feel so over whelmed by all of this spinning sometimes and wish that I could just handle it like the Hulk or King Kong would.

Hulk Mad....:grr: Hulk Destroy:argh:

Please let the Chairman of the Iron Chef know that he is not alone with these feelings or am I/we the only ones who feel like this?

and thanx for letting do my first rant.

A repuke relative of mine sent me a desktop "calming waterfall" contraption last Xmas cuz of the explosive emails that we would exchange pre-Nov 2004..they said it sounded like I needed to RELAX a little after getting all of my anti-chimp responses. I just emailed this to them and told them the waterfall isn't working.

    5. Excellent rant, and I share your feelings
I've never had such violent thoughts, and I am not a violent person. It's the outrage, the absolute outrage of it all...it's like being sexually assaulted in public, day after day, and having everyone say it isn't happening, or worse, isn't that big of a deal.

After all, how were you dressed, America? What were you wearing?

    :grr:  :argh: :banghead: :nuke:

(And totally off topic: does anyone else wonder why "grr" gives you :grr: and "mad" gives you ? Don't they seem backward?)

    6. that is exactly how I feel, like I am being assaulted everyday and no
matter what I do the assaults just keep coming.

BTW have to agree with you on the other part of your post.

    9. felt the same way last night as I drove past a local bar;
and on the sign in front was "Nuts to John Murtha"...Now I know as a fact that many people in that bar wouldn't have a job if it wasn't for John Murtha ( Western Pa. is the rust belt), a bunch of rummies sitting on bar stools , most of them having never been in the military, and bad mouthing a real hero who has worked tirelessly for their benefit for many years. I wanted to walk in and demand who put up that message and kick some chicken hawk ass....:wtf: :nuke:

    10. It's easy to say hit with facts, not fists
but the fact is, not enough people care. No matter how many times or sources you present, some people just. don't. care.

I got an email from my dad yesterday, with a picture of a soldier. It was a profile shot and he had the American flag patch on his shoulder. You may have seen it, the one with a black patch beneath the flag saying "doing the work of:" with three other country's flags below that. Snopes has the debunk-er, and I did a reply all with the note that "there's a reason the pic hasn't been published and that's because it's been altered; therefore, it's NOT a REAL picture." I included a comment about how "it's no wonder people believe anything and everything these days- how you get an email from someone you know and love and you don't suspect that the message is a lie. After all, why would a father/neighbor/friend/president lie to us? Well, obviously it happens (see enclosed email) and if we don't care enough about the truth to stand up for it, we can't complain when our world is filled with lies."
My fundie aunt responded today with, "Got a lot of time on your hands don't you" and nothing else. My reply? "When it comes to Truth, I've got all the time in the world."
Facts don't matter to some people. In fact, to too many people.

    11. way to go, also if your aunt spent less TIME on lies then she
might have more Time for truth. Just goes to show how much bullcrap there is floating around when family does not even have time for truth(s)

    12. The only time I hear from her any more
Edited on Fri Dec-02-05 03:49 PM by cfield
is if she tells me she's praying for me to have an open mind and to keep * in my prayers because he needs strength to continue his fight for...well, I'm not sure what she thinks he is fighting for anymore. But if she bothers speaking to me it's to assure me that she's praying for God to work in my heart and to change my mind back to what is 'right'. Too bad what she thinks is so 'right' is lie after lie; and any truth presented to her causes her to pray that much harder for me to realize the errors of my way and come back to Jesus.

Wish she could understand that I haven't left Jesus, I've left the fundie side of things.

    Edit for spelling.

    14. ask her this next time she is praying for you...
Does she pray for all of the 100-200 thousand women, children and other civilians that were killed as a result of HER war?

Does she pray for the blood on her and *'s hands from HER's and *'s WAR?

    Who would Jesus Bomb?

Does she know that God is going to ask her to explain her actions in regards to HER war?

Any person who calls themselves a christian and then places people in power to destroy 1 or a million people is not a christian -

Ask her about the part in the bible that says "thou shalt not kill" or is that no longer being practiced here?

If you ask me the only thing these people pray for is to protect their own little F'd up world.

Good luck. BTW I don't even speak to my family, they are retired Army and lifelong repugs.

    15. What makes me so angry is the fact...
that they act like they aren't supposed to be questioned. They are arrogant. They act like because they are public figures or work in government, that we the public are just zombies and can't think for ourselves. They think that if bush reads his script everyone is suppose to believe him. They think if they put different talking heads on every show and give us their spin something will stick and we won't know who to believe. The liars!
