They've spent years training for just this sort of situation. Their training will kick in, they'll download their daily talking points from Hannity et al, and they'll be off and running with:

-in a time of war, you have to remove the greedy liberal trial lawyers so that they can't hurt national security by dragging the poor drug companies through frivolous lawsuits.

-sometimes our government has to keep secrets from us because we don't have a need to know (yes, I've really heard them say that). Also, the terrorists may find out about Eli Lilly's new super American-life-saving vaccine, and then you just know they'll scramble their balsa wood glider-of-death squadron which can hit drug company targets in under an hour, etc, etc...

-We live in a post-9/11 world. Everything has changed, now more than ever.

-Saddam kept his vaccine business secret too.

It won't take more than 1.5 news cycles before they've crafted the complete self-deception package, and they'll do their damndest to disseminate their new-found information to the rest of us.
