A RW'ers idea on how to run America
Edited on Sun Dec-04-05 09:06 PM by ck4829
:scared:

"In other words, at some point, our nation falls apart unless the godly foundation is explicitly re-establshed. Someone will argue that Muslims, Hindus, etc. should not have the Bible "imposed" on them. That's a misunderstanding. NO nation can be everything to everybody. It is just physically impossible. The notion of neutrality is a foolish idea -- it has never existed and never could. Moreover, when the minority is actively trying to dislodge the majority at the very foundation of their nation, we have a case of an enemy withing. A case of outright subversion: criminal unamericanism. At one time, we had the good sense to throw such people in prison. Now we must.

To put it simply, if America fails to prosecute the subversives and thereby surrenders biblical authority to unbelievers, then we will be over-run by a world governemnt. And allowing such a thing to happen would indicate an inabilty to self-govern. The alternative is unthinkable tyranny and slavery. History shows that cycle to be true."

Without the BIble, how could anyone argue that ANYTHING was right or wrong? It would all be subject to powerful oligarchs who could craft deceptive propaganda and establish new laws to empower themselves. Just look at what they have done to the courts already. And if we cannot agree on a standard for right and wrong then we have no laws. That's called anarchy. Anarchy quickly leads to slavery unless objective biblcial standards are re-affirmed as a basis for governence. Lets face it folks, the authority of The Bible is bigger than all of us: far greater than naive oligarchs who fancy themselves as superior and more deserving specimans of evolved protoplasm.

Those who fund operations directed at purging our country of its Christianity are treasonous criminals -- true enemies of the state in every sense of that concept."

1. Right out in the open...
He doesn't even bother to hide his extremist religious bigotry.

What a lunatic.

People like him were responsible for every burning at the stake, every crusade, every pogrom.

:puke:

Spit on him.

2. OMG, I just got an email like this
from an old friend who has gone around the bend, becoming a very strict Catholic. I told him that when the religious people in this country stopped voting for a party that takes food and housing and medicine from the poor and gives it to the rich, then maybe I will listen.

3. Why do you torture yourself
by reading the rantings of a lunatic? These people are not right and are not to be taken seriously.

Unfortunately, they can register to vote.

4. Unbelievable
How extreme fundamentalist Islam is bad to them, but extreme fundamentalist Christianity seems fine just doesn't make sense. I guess it's fine when it's your thing!

5. I like this bit:

>Without the BIble, how could anyone argue that ANYTHING was right or wrong?

Uh, well, a lot of us seem to do just fine. So, basically, you're saying that you wouldn't know that, say, murder, was wrong unless it was written down for you? Does the word "empathy" mean anything to you?

In my developmental psych class, we've been talking about stages of morality. The person who wrote this would appear to be stuck at the "conventional" stage, (and rather tenuously at that, or he wouldn't be so defensive of it), which iirc comes around 6-11 years old. It's basically one step beyond "something is bad if I get caught;" instead it's "something is bad if the rules say it's bad." Adults are supposed to have gotten beyond this stage, however.

15. I think most, including this person, are still at stage 1 pre-conventional
Notice that there's no concern about pleasing others. Indeed, it's a "might makes right" coercive morality. There's really no evidence of regard for the needs or feelings of others -- sheer power (i.e. "majority" equals mob-rule) is the basis.

Stage 1:
Punishment-avoidance and obedience
Individuals make moral decisions on the basis of what is best for themselves, without regard for the needs or feeling of others. They obey rules only if established by more powerful individuals; they disobey when they can do so without getting caught.

Stage 2:
Exchange of favors
Individuals begin to recognize that others also have needs. They may attempt to satisfy the needs of others if their own needs are also met in the process. They continue to define right and wrong primarly in terms of consequences to themselves.

Stage 3:
Good boy/good girl
Individuals make moral decisions on the basis of what actions will please others, especially authority figures. They are concerned about maintaining interpersonal relationships through sharing, trust, and loyalty. They now consider someone's intentions in determining innocence or guilt.

..etc..

6. These "people" are clueless
If the Fundies Fcks could read... we suggest they
review the Constitution and the Bill of Rights for starters.
And before they start forcing ther narrow view of the
universe upon the rest of the country.. perhaps they should
go read the New Testament.
<<<spit>>>
These people are idiots and hypocrits...
and they WILL destroy themselves.
It's already begun.. pass the gasoline.

9. I wish
They were from another planet, so that we could send them back.

Unfortunately, my Canadian complacency has been disturbed by a temporary (I hope) influx of church chat pod people. This is a totally strange breed, which I don't usually have to deal with....it's frightening as hell. They don't actually listen to themselves, I'm convinced.

Indeed. We must adhere to Biblical principles, such as stoning children for disobeying their parents, dashing children against the rocks, stoning women to death for adultery, selling daughters into slavery, keeping women subservient to men and other wholesome, righteous principles. :eyes:

14. Another Keyboard Warrior
I especially love this line:

"Moreover, when the minority is actively trying to dislodge the majority at the very foundation of their nation, we have a case of an enemy withing. A case of outright subversion: criminal unamericanism. At one time, we had the good sense to throw such people in prison. Now we must."

I have some sad news for this fellow if either he or his ilk ever try and come after me and my family.

Every beginning has an ending.

You try and make this statement come true pal, the ending will be YOURS.

I am so sick of these people.

So sick of their talk.

Sometimes I think one of the reasons that keeps this country from an open Civil War, is that these people are simply too cowardly to turn their talk into action.

May they pay a dear, high price if they ever do.

Until then, let them spew.

They stand for nothing, believe in nothing, and they can DO nothing about those of us who stand against them.
