Can you bring out the bat against John McCain?

Liberal Oasis this morning led me to Huffington Post which quoted Slate as saying

"This support for Bush is yielding support for McCain in turn. Just three weeks ago, McCain's political action committee took in $1 million in just one week. Many of the professional Republicans who helped to kill his candidacy when he ran against Bush in 2000 now write him $5,000 checks—the full amount allowed by law."

So McCain is being a "shill for the Bush administration and kowtowing to the religious right" in order to raise money from Republican bigshots. Not only is that morally reprehensible, it ignores the power of the masses. I would like very much to believe that we can match that $1 million in one week. Even in the heart of Christmas season. $1 million is only 40,000 people donating $25, or better yet 25,000 people donating $40. Forty pieces of silver, Mr. McCain, for you to give to the devil when you get to hell.

The donations would goto the DNC or the DCCC, but the main point is to send a message expressing our disapproval of the Bush administration and the religious right. To express it in the only language some people seem able to understand - the talking dollar bill.

If the bat comes out, I am in for $40.
