why does the president have to come out once a week and remind us that iraq is a 100% happy success story? the president has better things to do than give monotonous, repetitious speeches all the time.

2. It is going so well and we are SO LOVED and RESPECTED
we've been invited to an ongoing party in Fallujah since we destroyed it with conventional and chemical weapons.
Is it happy successes like these Bush is referring to?

5. If I were GW, I sure would be wary of any Iraqi carrying
flowers and candy. He/she may just shove them up his ass.

6. If things are going so well, then why don't we leave?
Makes sense to me. Time to declare victory and leave.

7. what happened to the regular press conferences he was supposed to start?
Instead--over two years later he has opted for propoganda spin speeches. Honestly, I can hardly even listen to him anymore. He says the same crap over and over. Yet, it must work on some as his poll numbers went up (or did they?)

8. The whole war is so pointless I just can not understand it.
Look we have a country like Turkey in the Middle East that has shown the people the way and like most of the world these countries are going to get their vote with our wars by US. It has to be some thing in Bush's head that made him do this and I will never for give the Dem. that voted my war rights away to a man who could not even run one business or one state right. Why in God name are we over there? Yes we all should yell about this. If your a good Am. it is a duty

10. NPR: Army Major Ordered Not to Talk About Torture
Edited on Thu Dec-08-05 09:20 AM by JPZenger
NPR had a long report this morning about how the US military should respond to torture by Iraqi officials of other Iraqis. They said an Army Major who is a doctor had been describing how the problem was common in many Iraqi prisons, not just the one that was recently publicized. When NPR tried to contact him for comment, he said he was ordered not to talk to the press.

11. You're right, I think it's time for the president to set the example by
moving the White House to Iraq for a couple of months. He could take the WH Press Corps with him and tour on the towns and villages of Iraq, showing the folks here at home, how great things are.
