Bush on the Constitution: 'It's just a goddamned piece of paper'
Edited on Sun Dec-11-05 12:14 AM by G2099
Last month, Republican Congressional leaders filed into the Oval Office to meet with President George W. Bush and talk about renewing the controversial USA Patriot Act.

“Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.”

“Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”

I’ve talked to three people present for the meeting that day and they all confirm that the President of the United States called the Constitution “a goddamned piece of paper.”

3. I don't believe it. Pleasing tales
in which everything is laid out in black-and-white for us, via Capitol Hill Blue.

Besides, Bush has a thing that using "damned" in that way would violate the Ten Commandments.

7. Believe it. Believe every negative thing you hear about Bush & the neocons
That way, when the really evil, horrible, atrocious things they've done come to light, you won't be surprised or disappointed.

14. I know the Bush people are against the Constitution
because of how they stole the 2000 election by disenfranchising blacks, and how they held US citizen Jose Padilla without charges for three years.

I don't need a pleasing tale from anonymous sources in which George W. Bush denounces the Constitution to convince me.

4. WTF?!?!? - Why The Hell Isn't THIS IMPEACHABLE?!?!?
Where's the fucking "liberal" media on this one?!!?

That bastard swore "to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies foriegn and domestic." That is the fucking Oath of Office!! And now Bush wants to violate the Constitution, and calls it just "a goddamn piece of paper?!!?" THAT, right there, should constitute a justifyable reason to impeach!! He's breaking the Oath of Office!!

:wtf:

13. We all want that bastard impeached...
but we have plenty of real "truths" out there to do so.

We need not look silly off of some unreliable news source.

to the national enquirer or some other trash mag. It is NOT a reliable news source.

16. It's as reliable as any other news source - like Fox or CNN
We sometimes accept the bullshit thrown at us by the big league nitwits but we pick to death every bit of news from
alternate news sources.

Capitol Hill Blue has proved to be reliable on a number of stories that have pierced the outer veil to putative "real news".
I have no problem on a level of logic in believing Bush said that -- one of his father's old buddies referred to the
Bill of Rights as "Marxist propaganda". These boys are old breed Tories. It's like we're fighting the Revolution all over again.

If this turns up in other, more "kick the tires" news sources, I'll find it to have more veracity, but it certainly
doesn't surprise me as it stands now.

17. Oh, I am not saying that it didn't
happen...or atleast I wouldn't be shocked by it! :)

But...Capitol hill blue has NOTORIOUSLY printed alot of non-factual fluff.

I dunno... guess it's not any different from any other news source! LOL.

18. "Truth" is determined by the person with the last byline
There are all manner of things we think couldn't possibly have happened but did happen. I'm open-minded
about this one.

21. If a reporter at CNN wants to quote anonymous sources,
saying something controversial, I assume there is an editor who needs to know who the sources are.

But Doug Thompson doesn't have an editor.

22. Who are the editors at CNN?
Edited on Sun Dec-11-05 06:39 PM by melody
They've been caught in a thousand lies. All their lies have to be are plausibly deniable.

One of the reasons Thompson can write freely is he doesn't have an editor -- it doesn't degrade
the level of his information. Editors can be as censorial as they are editorial.

I take all news I read with a ten megaton grain of salt personally.

edited for spelling

9. bush* is just a goddamned piece of shit
But I am stating the obvious.

You know, the old military ID's had written on the bottom: "Geneva Conventions Identification Card". Everytime I think of how he pisses on the Geneva Conventions I think of how much worse he has done to our Constitution.

I swear, I just want to stop the maddness. Please, those in Congress, stop enabling the destruction of our Constitution. Please.

So far it only shows up in blogs and forums such as this. It even has an entry on rense, com, which is never a good thing.
