As a Vietnam combat vet I cannot begin to convey the effect that poem had on me.

By the way, I lived in Houston for years. 60s thru 90s.

3. Alief and Klien. I also lived in a log cabin in the woods between

Hockley and Magnolia.

My faily came to what is now Texas (Angelina County) in 1630. I am the only member of my HUGE family who doesn't live in Texas.
I am on San Francisco Bay in Tiburon (Marin County).
