Are Tookie's final words about to be read?
On the press conference awhile ago, the warden said that Tookie gave a note, which included his final words, to one of his friends who spent the day with him, to be read after his execution.

I believe the name was Barbara--his friend...Barbara Belkam? Anyway, his friends are speaking at a press conference right now on CNN.

how could a person turn down a last meal? Since I moved to Washington and can't get Whataburgers from Texas I would have made them fly me up a double meat double cheese, with jalapenos, large fries, and a gut buster coke. Man what a last meal that would have made, the double cheese would have killed me long before the IV.

Crappaburgers???

I'm a native Texan, and the main things I miss are Pittsburg (TX) Hot Links AND Nicks (Port Arthur) crawfish boudin. Indeed, my brother and I are driving to Texas on the day after Xmas to buy some of both.

Oh my god, and Pizza King in Longview. To....Die......For.

(Just kiddin' about Whataburgers...I actually like them! :D )

Edit: And, about Tookie. You know, I probably wouldn't eat a last meal, if I were him. I'd be too nervous to eat. :(

3. I tend to shy away
from eating animals that crawl out of mud holes, now hot links, brisket, ribs that's a different story. That's just wrong making me think of BBQ, now I want to go outside and chase down a cow and cook him. I would do that except there's like 900 feet of snow outside and some of the Vegans here might alert on me.

5. my neice just moved up here
from Beaumont, she had to escape an abusive boyfriend. Her first night her I made her gumbo, she won't see anything like that up here, there's some bland-eating food mofos up here. I was in Ireland last year and almost had to club a waiter to death to get tabasco sauce for my eggs. Can you get the death penalty for a Tabasco related murder?

7. The best thing about those MREs we ate during the hurricane...
was that they came with little, tiny, miniature single-serving bottles of Tabasco. Like this:

(and that pic above is to-scale--the same size as the real bottle.)

Our family kept a ziploc of tiny tabascos to take on camping trips and to hotels when we go out of town. They are PERFECT for that.

Confession: I even have one in my purse, so that I can have Tabasco at any restaurant I like. Even at Sonic. :D
