This Boston Legal kicks ass tonight!
Great subplot about the predatory habits of the credit card industry.

Still not as good as the episode about the war in Iraq, though.

5. How about that last line from Alan Shore to the guy
from the credit card company. Earlier the guy had said to Alan, "We have a saying in Texas: All hat and no cattle."

So later, Alan says, "We have a saying in Massachusetts: Maybe one day you'll get horribly sick and die." LMAO

4. I despise the CC companies,especially Chase-------I paid
a $750.00 bill in full last month, didn't use the card again, and got a bill totalling $3.71 for interest.

I called, asked what it was for,and they said it was the interest for the time before they received the check. In other words, they were charging for mailing time, both theirs and mine.

I said I wanted the card cancelled and she agreed to adjust the amount.

6. That happened to me with Circuit City!
I paid a bill of in full, and on time too, and then I got a bill for over $5 in interest. A real cheap shot.

I wonder what would happen if I paid a bill in total minus 1 cent. Wouldn't that force the CC company to spend the money to mail me a bill for $0.01? Of course, it would cost me another stamp and another check, but it would annoy the CC company.

7. They have been spot on for several weeks now.
Some of the dialogue has been as critical of the Repukers as I've ever heard. Good drama. You don't think they're talking about Bush,do you?

11. I wish we could capture Alan Shore's talk about this
and... I wonder.. can they really be sued as a class action, or was this just "television?"

14. Good idea. I wish we could get the one
from the episode in which he delivered that excellent closing statement about the war.

I'll search around the web for these things. Who knows, maybe someone has them. If you come across anything, let us know.

12. Great show.
Hugely important issue brought up that is never brought up anywhere else.

If the Dems can take back Congress and the WH they should totally regulate the fuck out of the CC companies and reduce the predatory practices. They can make good profits with out driving people into the poor house.

As for me...I have zero credit card debt...own my house and car free and clear...other than a couple hundred dollars in medical bills, I'm totally debt free.

Alan Shores new secretary is so freaking hot!

And Julie Bowen is the sexiest female on this planet. (She's smart in real life too)

15. LOL. I know.
I loved the episode when Alan was having night terrors and he wanted someone to sleep in the bed with him to protect him. When he asked her to do it, she didn't believe him, and said, "How stupid do you think I am?"

:)

16. For a truly good expose on credit card practices,
I would suggest watching the 'Frontline' episode "The Secret History of the Credit Card". It is scheduled to rerun December 20 on PBS, or you can review it here (includes a link to watch the episode on streamline video):

18. Thanks Sen. Reid, Biden, Carper, Landrieu, Akaka, Bayh, Nelson, Salazar
Baucus, Bingaman, Byrd, Conrad, Johnson, and Stabenow. Thanks for fucking over the American worker by voting for bankruptcy "reform" - workers whom you supposedly represent. Oops, guess I'm just being too ideologically pure. But this legislation - which Bill Clinton vetoed - would not have passed without the help of all these sellout dems. I say we rename "give em hell harry" to "give em foreclosure and homelessness harry" Reid.

Hey Harry, where are the rsults from "Phase 2" on the iraq intelligence investigation? Are we going to get answers or are you just allowing the repukes to let it dissapear into the memory hole?
