about the insurgency, and that he really accepts that great blunders have been made? I think * says whatever is expedient at the time to get his butt out of the fire. He's the typical sociopath and people give him credit at the very times when he does what his pathology demands of him. I would wager that none of his newfound astuteness has anything to do with political or any other kind of insight.

Face it he always thinks he knows best and is right. That is hard to go around when he has all the power or almost all of the power. Plus he is using God in the mix like the old rulers of the Middle ages etc. So if you go the other way you are not lined up with God. 4. He's waiting for his invitation to Lieberman's bipartisan war council

It's that DC Dem mentality in which hopes that if they don't criticize the President and loudly criticize Democrats who do criticize the President that maybe, just maybe, he'll start listening to them.

They are, sadly, delusional. Bush is doing what he has to do to regain his Republican base--nothing more--nothing less.

In the meantime Joe Biden and Joe Lieberman are waiting by the phone.
