Does Biden really believe that * has really changed his mind
about the insurgency, and that he really accepts that great blunders have been made? I think * says whatever is expedient at the time to get his butt out of the fire. He's the typical sociopath and people give him credit at the very times when he does what his pathology demands of him. I would wager that none of his newfound astuteness has anything to do with political or any other kind of insight.

2. I Think Biden Believes in the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, etc.
and he's not alone. I think the majority of the Democratic Party office holders and leadership believes in such fairy tales. Nothing else explains the ineptitude and inaction.

3. How can any one believe any thing about Bush now?
Face it he always thinks he knows best and is right. That is hard to go around when he has all the power or almost all of the power. Plus he is using God in the mix like the old rulers of the Middle ages etc. So if you go the other way you are not lined up with God. When people have faith that Bush talks for God it is a hard wall to run against.:hide:

4. He's waiting for his invitation to Lieberman's bipartisan war council
It's that DC Dem mentality in which hopes that if they don't criticize the President and loudly criticize Democrats who do criticize the President that maybe, just maybe, he'll start listening to them.

They are, sadly, delusional. Bush is doing what he has to do to regain his Republican base--nothing more--nothing less.

In the meantime Joe Biden and Joe Lieberman are waiting by the phone.

Oh, wait! It's ringing! Who's that, could it be...."

Disappointed Biden voice, "Oh, hi John. No, I haven't heard anything from the White House about the bipartisan meeting on your anti-torture amendment. Maybe next week."
