The Police State Is Now A Reality

<snip>

Is the Pentagon spying on Americans?
Secret database obtained by NBC News tracks ‘suspicious’ domestic groups

WASHINGTON - A year ago, at a Quaker Meeting House in Lake Worth, Fla., a small group of activists met to plan a protest of military recruiting at local high schools. What they didn't know was that their meeting had come to the attention of the U.S. military.

A secret 400-page Defense Department document obtained by NBC News lists the Lake Worth meeting as a “threat” and one of more than 1,500 “suspicious incidents” across the country over a recent 10-month period.

Some things will be more difficult to reverse once this cancer on our nation has at last been swept from our eyes.

This is one of the consequences of the corruption of our current Administration; and is something that must be addressed immediately as it is a precursor to total power.

I know that it sometimes seems unimaginable or even paranoid to think that the dystopic visions we read about in novels or witness somewhere "over there" could be a reality on Main Street, America; but it is becoming clear that Mr. Bush, Mr. Cheney, et. al. are fighting tirelessly to make this a reality.

We need to look forward to how this time will impact our children. What America will they live in? What voice will they have?

This is yet another example of the collective agenda to achieve TOTAL POWER, for which we will be subject to very soon. This collective: The stolen elections, the POLICY of stealing elections, the corruption of the Media, the manipulation of facts, the USA PATRIOT ACT, the waging of perpetual war against an undefined enemy, and now, the practice of spying on American citizens, must not continue at our peril.

1. It always goes like a wavy. Up and down.
Since Quakers are different they have always been looked at as odd when war came up. Lets face it, I think most people in this country believe only force will work in most things. If you talk reason over force you really up set a lot of people. Since we seem to think force always works we would of course go after any one that does not think that way. I my self think reason is a better way to go.:patriot:

3. Lots of others on that list:

I agree about reason and that is what I try to practice; however, our current News Media seem to have more interest in divisive grandstanding.

With the exception of a few (JIMMY CARTER!) there seems to be waning civility of public debate from supposed "experts." Mind you, they are actually using people from the NY POST on panels now!

I just think that we need to be ready to fight come November, 2006. I wish I was a better writer; I would compose the greatest pep talk since halftime on the Super Harlem Globetrotters show!

2. You're either with us or against us.
Many thousands, if not millions, of people in the United States itself are demonstrably sickened, shamed and angered by their government's actions, but as things stand they are not a coherent political force – yet. But the anxiety, uncertainty and fear which we can see growing daily in the United States is unlikely to diminish.

I know that President Bush has many extremely competent speech writers but I would like to volunteer for the job myself. I propose the following short address which he can make on television to the nation. I see him grave, hair carefully combed, serious, winning, sincere, often beguiling, sometimes employing a wry smile, curiously attractive, a man's man.

'God is good. God is great. God is good. My God is good. Bin Laden's God is bad. His is a bad God. Saddam's God was bad, except he didn't have one. He was a barbarian. We are not barbarians. We don't chop people's heads off. We believe in freedom. So does God. I am not a barbarian. I am the democratically elected leader of a freedom-loving democracy. We are a compassionate society. We give compassionate electrocution and compassionate lethal injection. We are a great nation. I am not a dictator. He is. I am not a barbarian. He is. And he is. They all are. I possess moral authority. You see this fist? This is my moral authority. And don't you forget it.'

4. Echelon Has Spied On Americans Since The Early 80's
But keep in mind, before 9-11 even the FBI were under investigation for mass corruption. On 9-12 those investigations ceased and the FBI were given MORE power, including unlimited surveillance powers.

Yes, it's been the "hidden agenda" for decades.
That's why we must oppose or repeal the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Acts. "If we lose our Rights by force, we can take them back by force, but if we lose our Rights by default, we can never get them back". (author?)

5. Very Well put
It's becoming more and more institutionalized since 2001.

People seem very uninformed about it, still..

Scary stuff.

Most people simply and blindly trust government. Many people do not know history. The P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Acts are a modernized version of Hitler's Enabling Act which followed the Reichstag Fire (arson: an "act of terrorism") Hitler fooled the masses by convincing them "it was to protect them from terrorists".
Removing our Rights DOES NOT protect us, but rather, ENDANGERS us.
