Why the Pentagon Propaganda Plan has already devestated the U.S.'s image
It's simple.

since they are going to be pulling an "Armostrong Williams" in the foreign media, it automatically makes anything even remotely pro-US suspect. Since the story is now out there, nobody in a foreign nation is going to buy anything positive about the U.S. EVEN IF THE AUTHOR OF THE STORY WAS NOT BOUGHT AND PAID FOR BY THE U.S. PENTAGON!!!!

In fact, it makes journalists in foreign nations LESS LIKELY to say anything positive about the United States because they will be reluctant to be painted as having been bought off by the Americans!

It was a completely stupid move and will only harm our image for the long term.

1. The Pentagon has never been know for
brilliance. They know how to do the tanks, armies and munitions thing, but for original thinking they are at a loss and it's usually SNAFU time.

2. We can never repair our reputation around the world...ever.
It would take a) an honest President to b) enumerate in the world forum every single one of the frauds, felonies and moral outrages committed by our government in the name of the United States, and what the plans are to make amends for all that. That will NEVER happen.

4. The negative image will hit the US trade/tourist industry hard
And now that we know the WH doesn't care enough about New Orleans to resusitate it, there's yet another reason for foreign tourists not to bother making the effort.

The Gropinator drove home the last nail in the T/T industry coffin when he killed Williams.

5. How is the tourist trade going in Florida these days?
I hear it has been decimated by the policies of Jeb Bush* and no one seems to object..
