I was amazed after Katrinia how many people were giving kudos to the press for their "honest" reporting, and how things have turned around

In my view it will NEVER turn around until we undo the damage that the reagan administration started

If it wasn't for the blogs and Air America which actually allowed progressive/liberal views back on the airwaves we would be truely isolated

5. if it wasn't for blogs
the internets, AAR, DU, I would be out of my mind. I felt so alone before the war. Everywhere I went there were koolaid drinkers.
now I am not so alone, it's wonderful to have people share your views.

3. Thank you, I thought it was just me.
You would think this might've made it into the WP or LAT or some such paper. But I have not seen it. It's a scary thought to think that this is being intentionally held. And I would think, given the prominence of the word "Diebold" that the resignation of its CEO -- let alone amidst a potential insider trader scandal that isn't being talked about either -- would somehow make it into the mainstream press.

4. You act like it should headline in every paper and lead every TV news show
Its not that big of a story.

7. Yes it is. Most of this country relies on Diebold for banking, too.

It's hardly UNimportant.

More people utilize a Diebold machine in their daily lives than a GM or Ford. And if any of those CEOs left, it would make headline news.

10. I know all about Diebold
I also know (generally) how reporters work, how editors/producers work, and how stories get to be headlines/lead stories.
The simple resignation is not headline/lead-worthy.
The indictment is only article-worthy.
The results of the lawsuit will make headlines.
Once there is hard evidence of election fraud, that will engulf the news cycle for 2-3 days.

6. Media earned a bit of credibility postKatrina, now they intend to squander
that credibility to prop the Bushboy back up - yet again.

13. notice where it is under, "TECH"
not news. They sure presented Martha Stewart as a major news story

tell who effected more people, a person telling you how to cook, or someone who controls how you vote?
