When did "Saddamist" become a word?
Edited on Wed Dec-14-05 11:33 AM by Fridays Child
Did I miss the memo? :eyes:

Edit: And does Saddamist differ from Sodomite?

1. I think it's because people got tired of saying Bathhist?
And we aren't bright enough to remember that Bathhist is the name of Saddam's political party (or something like that anyway).

2. It's just another
It's just another magic word they're throwing around to catapult the usual Bushco mind-scramble. Personally, I love it when Bush says the word, "rejectionists". He pronounces the word like he just heard it somewhere and thought it sounded cool. They're trying to stay ahead of the truth by baffling us with ever new content-free realities to ponder -- while they move on to create ever new realities...bla...bla...bla

Maybe.

4. Hey don't forget "strategizing"
Of course NONE of the mediawhores feel the need to point out that "rejectionists", "strategizing" and now "Saddamists" AREN'T actually legimate and existing words.

But there ya go...like EVERYTHING else, Junior just makes shit up.

3. Maybe because using Bathist might inadvertantly remind people
of James Bath?

5. They've been doing that for awhile now
Some of the rightys on other forums I visit were rather fond of the "Saddamite" label, acting like a couple of giggling 3rd graders who dared to write a naughty word on the bathroom wall.

6. It gets the pro-war crowd and the anti-gay crowd a great double-entendre.
They get to equate Saddam and sodomy! Win-win!

9. Maybe you're kidding but you may also be right.
These people do nothing by accident. Heathens in the Holy Land are, after all, Sodomites, right? This word has everything!

10. I think it's kinda funny, in a way, but I'm not kidding.
I'm sure they know what they're doing.

7. They are trying to transcend from "communist" to "terrorist" to....
Whatever current enemy is in BushCo's cross hairs, which is to provoke immediate fear and hatred from Americans. Which is just another way of saying, you're either with me (Bush - Holy) or with them (Evil-doers).

8. The word "Saddamite" was coined by British writer Stephen Fry in 1991.
During the first Iraq war.

11. They want to bring the Baathist people back into power
to clamp down on the fundamentalist Sunni portions of the insurgency. Hence the playing card folk and other never-to-be collaborators are now "Saddamists".

(Just a theory.)
