Go, Robert!
If you would, read the clause about treaties being as law just as much as anything else.
How about the Bill of Rights - particularly emphasizing the 4th, 5th and 6th Amendments?

Now we read about this policy of "rendition". The practice of rendition sounds so vague, almost harmless. But the practice of rendition is abhorrent."

I think as I age, I will most fondly remember Byrd's speeches. I was also lucky enough to watch his speech against the authorization of force which led to the Iraq war.

America as seen through Byrd's 80 plus year old eyes. The IWR NO Vote is the vote he is most proudest of :patriot:and thanked Senator Corzine for voting NO along side him.
Have we lost our humanity. What has happened to our fearless America! Just excellent! :applause:

15. I KNEW I would see him on the floor today! |
|
I KNEW he would be speaking out against what the idiot has done by SPYING on us.
I love this man. I wish other members would take what he says TO HEART. I think the RW just blows him off..."he's just an old man, ignore him." They NEED to listen to this man. NO ONE knows the Constitution like he does. But, of course, if the idiot looks at the Constitution as "Just a piece of paper" then I can only imagine what the rest of those assholes think of it. :(

me, Mr. President, to protect our freedoms, the freedoms the American people cherish so deeply.
This vote today means that the Senate can STAND UP to ANY PARTY who has sacrificed our liberties, and say NO.
Our military should not spy on our own people. We should secure our country, but not by destroying our liberties.
Thank Almighty God for this Constitution.
Thank God for checks and balances. Thank God for the US Senate, and may it always stand for what is right."
