What ever happened to the "Al Jazeerah Memo" story? |
|
That one disappeared really fast... I guess we should just add it to the list?

I think a prominent MP in London offered to publish the info (and accept the consequences under the Official Secrets Act) if one of the newspapermen who have the info would anonymously leak it to him. This was advertised in newspapers there.

3. You probably mean Boris Johnson, the MP who also edits The Spectator |

a political magazine. However, he's just been given a job as higher education spokesman by the new Tory party leader, and as a result he's resigning as editor. However, various other people (magazines and blogs) said they would publish it too. But I don't think any newspaper has the memo - some have been told what's in it, but we know that in general terms already (at least the bit about al Jazeera) - it's the exact wording that we want to know now. So it needs one of the people in government who have access to the memo to leak it.
