Why are Republican scarred of Terrorism??? |
|
Edited on Mon Dec-19-05 06:48 PM by Lost-in-FL
I don't get it. To the point it is perfectly ok to have the Pretzeldent spy on us. Since after 9/11 there have been ZERO deaths to terrorists inside the US even with all the lousy measures taken to protect us here. There are now maybe thousands of Bin Ladens and they are just having a fest overseas. There has been more deaths due to natural disasters than terrorism!! What are they afraid off?? I'll be afraid of Emperor Bush.

is a loss of power, and nothing more, IMO.
The rest is all fear-mongering-window-dressing.

3. Because they are lily-livered wussy cowards, that's why. |
|
Remember the old cliche -- would you rather die on your feet or live on your knees? The chickenshits who support Bush are so cowed by the constant drumbeat of 9/11, 9/11, 9/11, terror, terror, terror, that they'd obviously rather live on their knees, under a government that tortures people in secret prisons and spies on its own citizens.
Got that, freepers? You're a sorry bunch of cringing, sniveling chickenshit cowards. Bwuk bwuk bwaaaak bwuk bwuk bwuk.

i dont think they are afraid of terrorism at all, they love it in a sense. It gives them a reason to make everyone else scared, and when people are scared they are vulnerable, and when people are vulnerable, they vote for George Bush.

8. No, they are afraid of change. They love the status quo. They |
|
feared communism with a fear beyond reason. So much they were willing to wage war, hot & cold, for decades. They couched it in all sorts of fears and beliefs--the Red menace. Basically, the "hate us for our freedoms" is a retread from the idea that communists hate our way of life. Well, it was a threat to our economic system and the status quo. Republicans represent the establishment and the status quo. During the Sixties, the youth rocked the establishment and that scared them even more. Now that they have "Islamists", "terrorists", and "libruls" to use as rotating boogeymen, they are happy as clams. They need to fear. If they didn't fear, they would have to change.

7. I think that's true of the Republican "leadership." |
|
What I was referring to was the rank-and-file freeper idiot who voted for Bush and still supports his insanity. They are total cowards because they really seem to think al-Qaeda is lurking behind every tree and only Bush can protect them. The same morAns who went out and bought duct tape and plastic sheeting during Terra Lerts.

4. why give Bush more power and intel reform when he didn't use what he had? |
|
that's what drives me nuts.
It sounded like everyone was doing their job before 9/11, and as soon as the info reached Bush appointees, it got shitcanned.

6. Because they're brainwashed. |
|
A good analogy is the Santa Claus myth. You accept the story when your mind is in an impressionable state (as a child) because the story is told to you by those you unconditionally trust (your parents). Never mind that there are logistical holes in the story that make it impossible (i.e. one fat guy in a red suit hitting every chimney on Earth in one night, with a sleigh big enough to hold all the toys, and yet be light enough for 9 reindeer to get it off the ground.)
Think about it. Is the story Bush expects us to believe any LESS ridiculous than that? Yet people believe it. Because it was fed to them when their minds were in an impressionable state. In this case, before the dust cloud even settled over Manhattan from the controlled (yes I said it) demolition of the World Trade Center towers. And because these ignorant freeper fucks have a mindset of never questioning authority, they trusted the Chimp was telling them the truth. As insane as it is. some of them STILL believe it. Even though nothing but coal has been left in their stockings ever since from their Satanic "Santa".

9. REPUBLICAN LEADERS LOVE AND SUPPORT TERRORISM!!! |
|
As they have for decades!!!
They secretly love and support it, because it gives them an easy way to control such "masses" as are stupid enough to think that the U.S. corporate "news" media contain authentic information, not misleading propaganda.
As long as we give historical creedence to such totally corrupted "news" sources, there is no way out of the trap.
Only in more participatory new media such as the internet is there any ray of hope. :headbang:
