3. With him, you have to expect the worse, but I think I heard his name
linked with Feingold as demanding something - didn;t catch it all.

4. I'm not one to defend Joe...
...but he was asked during the Senate ANWR press conference, and he condemned the administration.

6. No, not really...
...even a DINO like Joe would have a hard time still trying to pass himself off as a Democrat while getting behind the complete shredding of the Constitution via executive fiat.

7. I disagree
Lieberman has repeatedly shown his distain for the 1st Amendment. Would it be that big a stretch to support the destruction of the rest of the Constitution?

14. Yep...I just posted about that below!!
I heard the audio of him speaking out against it, while I was in a cab coming home from work tonight.

I was totally floored that he was taking the Republicans to task for attaching the oil drilling, to the Defense Authorization Bill (which pretty much HAS to pass).

Why hasn't he spoken out before on this type of M.O.? Congressmen/women, and Senators, do it all the time. They take a controversial piece of leglisation and attach it to a bill that HAS to pass.

that spying is a good thing too.

10. we could practically write it for him..."You know, we can't second guess
the president in wartime. And the authors of the Bill of Rights never envisioned the panalopy of technology we have today that needs to be monitored to catch terrorists and dissenters of all kinds. I think these wiretaps can make us better citizens. Just the other day, one of my grandkids was telling me a joke about President Bush, and Alberto Gonzalez came on the line and said, "That's disrespectful, it's not funny." He was right, and now my grandson is learning a valuable lesson at a prison in an undisclosed country."

13. Joe actually surprised me today..He was pissed at the GOP
For trying to put oil drilling in the Defense Authorization bill (that essentially HAS to be passed).

He said the oil drilling had nothing to do w/ natl security and he was mad as all get out. I was floored. Heard it on the way home from work and the hair dresser tonight.

15. Could Joe be turning a corner here?
Perhaps the stupefying hypnosis of the past year is finally wearing off, and this is an early sign that he will (hopefully) be rejoining the ranks of sane citizens in the very near future.
