Why impeachment is justified. |
|
Not just because he broke the law.
Not just because he defends breaking the law.
Not just because he says he will continue to break the law.
It's because even if he apologized and swore never to do it again, we wouldn't believe it. He can't be trusted with the law. A president can't be watched every second, and this guy can't be trusted the second one's back is turned. Right now, there's an entire country of Iraq, and an entire military/industrial complex, an entire lobby/crony underground, all operating out of sight and requiring a man worthy of trust. Bush isn't it and will never be it.

1. So you have a Pakistani family that has been living here for 20 years |
|
they haven't so much as spit on the sidewalk, now their personal conversations with relatives are fair game.
You have people who don't like war, their personal conversations are fair game.
You have this nimrod in the wh saying that these are targetted taps on KNOWN ALQAIDA ASSOCIATES. My question is, why aren't they in guantanamo having the time of their lives?? I mean, if what he claims is true, then they should be apprehended.... charged, or left alone.

2. No, you have it all wrong |
|
It is because he broke the law.
It is because he defends his criminal acts.
It is because he says he will continue to break the law.
And that is on top of his war criminal record and everything else such as represented in the Articles of Impeachment by Robert Boyle and Ramsey Clark more than 3 years ago.
To not be for impeachment is a litmus test for ignorance on the subject. That is what I tell the brain dead I meet.

3. firefox -- you are absolutely right. George Bush is a criminal and |
|
deserves impeachment. Shrubby is not above the law, as far as I know. (What do I know, I'm just a serf!)

4. Under Bush, you could be arrested, tortured, denied right to a lawyer |
|
We absolutely cannot trust the Bush Administration to protect our constitutional rights.
