As president I'm responsible for the decision to go into Iraq.
This is another spin of reality.
Congress voted to give * the authority to use force IF NECESSARY. This was before * scuttled the UN efforts to uncover WMD and built the whole Iraq case on phony intelligence and lies.
* may have ultimately made the decision to go into Iraq, but he still does not have the ultimate authority still vested in the congress to declare war which would then, possibly, convey the powers * claims to hold legally

1. Jay Leno agrees
In a speech, President Bush said, 'As president, I am responsible for the decision to go into Iraq.' Yeah, well I don't think he has to worry about other people trying to take credit for that one!—Jay Leno
