Anybody wonder what this admission and true confession session is hiding?
I think we're soon to have a go with Iran. Any input?

1. I think it was Bush distancing himself from coming legal scrutiny
on how his surrogates in the White House used the NSA intercepts for political muckraking.

distraction?

5. I think coming indictments are the main concern over there
Bush is doing the classic insulation dance. Cheney is nowhere in sight of him.

19. Insulation dance? WTF, he made an admission in front of God and the
whole world. I wouldn't call that insulation unless you use bread for insulation.

4. The second batch of Abu Ghraib torture photos?
How much of the FISA fraud gets washed onto the back pages when they're released?

7. I think it's weird
that he casually mentions 30,000 dead Iraqis and nobody blinked an eye. That seems like a helluva lot of Iraqis to me. We lost 3,000 on 9/11 haven't they paid enough? What is that about 10 for each one?

8. I've been wondering this all night.
Glad to see I'm not alone in my suspicions. :hi:

Iran? The Iraq elections? Abu Ghraib? Cunningham/Wilkes/Abramhoff/DeLay scandals? Plamegate? Election fraud?

9. That's desperately undercounted.
Dahr Jamail and others have estimated the total somewhere around 200,000 people.

And yeah, I've wondered what else is lurking......this administration doesn't make one single move without calculation.

11. Hidden in plain sight
Analyzing the Sunday speech on Think Progress.org, he pretty much laid out without any reading between the lines that life was going to become more unpleasant for everyone. He even hinted that we might be sending more troops overseas before bringing more home.

Just click here and draw your own conclusion.

21. He used the word "sacrifice"
I don't usually watch his speeches, so I don't know how often he says it. But, that's a word with big implications.
Death, hunger, lifestyle demotion, draft......

17. He's giving a preview of his impeachment defense
He's gonna say I did it but it was the right thing to do for the American people. Now lets see if you pussy congressmen and senators have the balls to impeach and convict me and get a raft of shit from the American people. Sounds pretty gutsy but actually I don't know what choice he has since he was caught red handed.

20. His "Iran" statements today seemed telling
He used a question from a reporter (about the 911 intel failures - so how could we trust you in the future over intel concerning say "Iran, or Korea?")

He answered it by going on about how "the American people" can't let Iran develop nukes - even for programs unrelated to WMD. We'd have to act diplomatically first, blah, blah, blah.

Seemed like he was starting to make his case for an invasion.

23. If we go into Iran, it'll be an iar strike.
If that happens and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has anything even remotely resembling a sense of strategy, or even somebody on his staff who understands strategy, he'll immediately initiate a ground invasion of Iraq and overwhelm American ground forces.

Remember, Iran has a working Air Force and a large army.
