The *worst* Christmas commercials ever?
The *absolute worst* Christmas commercial ever?

Some hag is on her computer looking for a gift for hubby. She's looking at argyle socks and cardigans. Suddenly, she looks out her window and sees what looks to be a Lexus with a big bow on it.

Some shithead with a gravelly voice starts narrating..

Cut to the garage. Hubby is standing there. Wifey has her hands over his eyes...

Surprise...

Socks? Hmmm... Sweater? Hmmm...

No, a new $60,000 Lexus SUV.

God, how I hate that commercial.

1. Since I got TiVO I don't even seen 'em anymore
And I don't miss them one bit.

When I'm forced to watch "live" television, I'm appalled at the ads.

2. Sears inadvertently hit on the truth this year
with their commercials showing people being crushed under enormous pieces of consumer junk, backs bowed, struggling under the weight of big, gaudily wrapped presents.

Yeah, that said it all.

4. LOL. Never seen that one
I don't know what the worst commercial is, but I always love the Coke holiday commercials. The penguins and the polar bears -- ahhhhhhhh, so cute!

6. Lexus has had commercials like that every year.
I've always hated them or any commercial that shows giving a car for a gift. I'm sure there are people who can afford to do that but those people aren't the target of those commercials. I can't imagine my husband or myself making a major financial investment like that as a surprise gift!

8. You mean you haven't bought any
for Christmas gifts? I usually have at least 3 or 4 under the tree. They make nice stocking stuffers.

9. How about the Capitol 1 credit card ads with the "Plunderers."
The Halloween one was grotesque, the Christmas one is worse (if there could be worse that grotesque) and I wonder how many little kids they scare.

It's a big turn off but they keep running them.

10. How does one surprise their wife with a car? Doesn't she have to
sign the paperwork to have it in her name BEFORE it's driven off the lot?
