I must say... I'm impressed with Russ Feingold.
I've been watching him on and off the last couple days and am very impressed. I know he has somewhat of a following here on DU but I didn't completely understand the appeal until I started listening to him recently. He's on the right side of the issues, a "straight-talker" as they say, he's incredibly articulate, and he knows his stuff.

Thank you, Senator Feingold!

1. He's great!
He caught my eye when I read he was the only senator who voted against the "Patriot Act." :) Plus, nice eye candy. ;)

3. I'm definitely giving him a serious look ...
Edited on Tue Dec-20-05 02:59 PM by LSparkle
Up until recently, the only extended exposure I'd had to him was a speech that aired on C-Span, and I have to say he came across as kind of a wonk (reminded me of Al Gore). But over the past few days, every single appearance he's made has been straightforward, concise, and damned impressive. He doesn't back down, he speaks his mind, and he comes off as a rational, reasonable guy just the same. The fact he voted against both the Patriot Act and the IWR wins him BIG POINTS in my book, too.

5. Yep.
And he's a fantastic debater. Caught one of his senate race debates last fall...he has zero tolerance for freeper bullshit and can counter it effortlessly.

10. He's the kind of leader we need right now.
Zero tolerance for freeper bs and the facts at his fingertips. Can we clone him?

6. Why Russ? Because he is fighting for us.
He is positioning himself as the leader against Bu$h and could be a very good candidate in 2008.

7. Me too.
He' a little soft for me, but that's probably a compliment.

Before now, I pretty much knew him as the McCain-Feingold guy.
