Freepers will be all over this judge quitting is there someway to counter the oncoming spin???

This is important because the spin machine will discredit this anyway they can to undermine our argument on civil liberties....

Does anyone know if he Repuke or DEM reading his history he might be a DEM I'm guessing...

James Robertson (born 1938) is a judge for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. James Robertson was appointed a United States District Judge by President Bill Clinton in 1994. Chief Justice William Rehnquist later placed him on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. On December 20, 2005, Judge Robertson resigned his position on the FISA court in apparent protest of the NSA warrantless surveillance disclosure.

    1. Are they gonna say Rehnquist is a Clinton stooge?
'Cause it was him that put him on FISA, not Clinton.

He obviously passed the conservative sniff test.

    2. Who gives a fuck...
...the freepers will contruct ANY outlandish lie and monumental bullshit to cover for their king and "savior". The judge made a principled stand, I don't care if Daffy Duck or Ronald Reagan appointed him.

    6. I'd say that the counter argument comes in the sentence following...
... the one in bold. If he was good enough for the arch-conservative Rehnquist he should have been good enough for them.

    7. Well, think about it
How would a Freeper spin this?

    A) Judge is a loser, or other personal attack on judge
    B) Judge was reason Bush had to go around the court
    C) ? (provide yours)

    Responses:

    A) Judge was appointed to FISA by Rehnquist, quote caselaw from judge
    B) Judge was appointed to FISA by Rehnquist, quote FISA case where he denied Bush, blame Bush for circumventing court due to personal vendetta

    8. I don't understand why we need spin here.
A FISA judge resigned in protest over GW Bush's disrespect for the rule of law and the Constitution. Who appointed the man is irrelevant.
