Hoekstra, Chair HI Committee Press Conf.Trashing Dems over NSA Intell

Dems need to get out their quick with a Press Conference to counteract Hoekstra (R-Mich) Press Conference where he's saying any Dem on Intelligence Committee could have done something any time to amend or stop the NSA program. He said any of them could have met with the VP or P-Res. and expressed their concerns. He made fun of Rockefeller saying "he wrote a letter? If he was so concerned why in four years did he only write ONE letter." (paraphrase)

He's saying those in the Minority are not "powerless." He says they were all briefed and everyone walked out of the briefings feeling NSA was legal and there was no problem. He keeps saying over and over that Rockefeller did nothing so it was assumed he agreed with everything.

He keeps repeating that it's NOT a massive Spy Network and he blames the NYT's for threatening our National Security.

5. I JUST CALLED Hoekstra'S OFFICE..AND RAISED HELL

i said ..i don't care how many excuses Hoekstra has for breaking the law..and i don't care who knew and who didn't..i said every person who knew was complicit in breaking the law..and * was the one to write the executive order breaking the law..and every congress person who allowed that was an accomplice to breaking the law..i said if i half way kill someone..i am still breaking the law...there is no half way here...this is a nation built on laws..not half laws ..or laws for some and not for others..and i said in war time we must be more vigilant to obey all laws..and * broke the law no matter how many excuses the rethugs come up with...

so then i said i have felt for almost 2 yrs that my phones have been tapped..and i feel raped by * and any one who stood by and allowed it to happen...

then the guy asked for my name and i said i am not giving him my name because i no longer trust my government..then he asked what state i lived in ..and i said i am not answering that for the same reasons..i told him..go check the tapes..i am sure you can find me that way!

Committee..but he really seemed to be all over the Repug Talking Points and supporting them. Since he's only been on the Committee for 18 Months...how could he really know what Rockefeller and Pelosi felt about the whole deal?

He seemed cheerful and charming...but could have been one of our Red State Southern BushBot Clones for all he was saying.
