I am not a member of the Carpenters Union, but I honk at their line |
|
every time I pass it, and pump my fist. I don't know what they are striking for. I don't much care, really.
All I know is they are my Dem brothers, and they were a HELL of a help in the last election. Our HQ was at a union office. Even if there was no other reason, that would be enough for me to support them.
If they are still there when I get paid tomorrow, I'm thinking about bringing them coffee. It's fucking freezing here.
I support the Union. It is not a "regional issue" to me.

The people on the line here in NYC are taking real blows economically, and so many others will suffer, too.
But our Republican leadership is content to have it happen, as long as the union is broken.

Their national leadership endorsed GWB for President in 2004. Tell them to either change their leadership or go get jobs at Walmart.
