7. I turned it on right before it ended, and a caller said the
same thing, that he didn't mind the government spying on and keeping his records, phone calls and emails! Huh????

Have these people no knowledge of history? Do we really want a Stasi here in America?

This is a dangerous slippery slope!!!

13. The Big Lie
Whoever is in the majority wants strong centralized government.

Whoever is in the minority wants devolved power (states rights, individual rights)

Its all about one human being's power over another.

And they call it democracy?

5. a reactionary old crank
who shills for his lovers, the Right Wing

conveniently, he is a "judge" a meaningless word, in his case, which gives him credibility he doesn't deserve.

8. The bush appointee;
was more on our side than posner. I looked him up on the internet and he wrote a lot of books.

Here's one of his rulings;

In 1991, he ruled that a group of deputy sheriffs who, without a warrant or probable cause, assisted with the seizure of a mobile home had not violated the Fourth Amendment because, rather than entering the house, they had removed it whole. (This finding was reversed unanimously by the Supreme Court, whose sarcastic opinion called it "creative.")

More is here;

11. A source of constant frustration, but aside from that,
nobody much. His aspiration is to be a renaissance man. My aspiration for him is for written opinions where one can find the holding. All his opinions have five pages of discussion of legal opinions from 13th Century England to date followed by "But we not decide any of those matters in the instant case."

12. She also was holding Bill Owen's feet to the fire. He kept saying
incorrect things and she wouldn't let him finish - "with all do respect" while interrupting him to tell him he's an idiot.

That was pretty nice.

opts for security over constitutional rights.

16. Posner is a long-time law professor at the University of Chicago
and has sat on the federal appeals bench for almost twenty years. At one time he was considered a top right-wing candidate for the Supreme Court. Talk about a paper trail, though! He's written tons of books and if you look at a few of them on Amazon, you'll see that he is full of ideas that are too, shall I say, iconoclastic :eyes: even for the likes of Bushco.
