I don't know how good of an idea Hillary "bashing" is
as long as we can mostly agree how dumb of an idea it would be to nominate her.

3. I'd mostly agree that the nomination is years away and idle speculation is
still idle speculation...nothing more nor less.

6. I agree Pinto
IMHO.... I think Hillary would be an excellent choice as VP for Kerry in 2008. I think a Kerry-Clinton would be a very strong ticket to beat the pubs

4. Who do you mean by "we"? Rush, Sean, Mike, Ann, et al?
Edited on Thu Dec-22-05 07:57 PM by mtnsnake
Just don't include me in your group. There's a reason Hillary's sitting on top of the heap of Democratic hopefuls right now!

7. would you care to define "bashing" since you put it in quotes right
before your critical comment. At least your words make it appear you are
not kindly disposed towards her nomination.

10. Actually, according to DU rules, it's a bad idea.
Edited on Thu Dec-22-05 09:01 PM by anotheryellowdog
The DU Rules do state that
You are permitted to criticize public figures, who are not protected under our rules against personal attacks. However, if a public figure is a member of our community, that person is protected by our rules and you are not permitted to personally attack that person. (You are permitted to offer constructive criticism of their activities as a public figure.)

Though Hillary probably isn't a member, those same rules go on to state that

Constructive criticism (my emphasis) of Democrats or the Democratic Party is permitted. When doing so, please keep in mind that most of our members come to this website in order to get a break from the constant attacks in the media against our candidates and our values. Highly inflammatory or divisive attacks (read "bashing") that echo the tone or substance of our political opponents are not welcome here. (my emphasis)

You are not permitted to use this message board to work for the defeat of the Democratic Party nominee for any political office. If you wish to work for the defeat of any Democratic candidate in any General Election, then you are welcome to use someone else's bandwidth on some other website.

Sometimes I wonder if anybody actually reads these rules.

11. "Highly inflammatory or divisive attacks"...Ever notice how much in common
so many of the feeble attacks against Hillary here are the same as the attacks that have come her way for years from the rightwing deuchebags that fester over the airwaves of hate radio? Either it's a monumental coincidence how much these two groups have in common, or they are one and the same!
