Poll question: So, which of us have gotten pulled out of line while flying? |
|
Let's limit this to the past year, and go by percentages to limit the effect of frequent flying.

local and international...in the zillions of flights i have been on since Sept11 I have been pulled once. But I do find the procedures to be very annoying and inconsistent and have voluntarily pulled myself from line to bitch about it.

I can't believe they're still pulling out one-way ticket holders for extra screening. Happened to me a couple days ago. It presumes there's a terrorist who's thinking, "I'll save some money by flying one-way, since I'll die on the first flight anyway." Think they're really so unaware of current security policy?

If that means while going through initial security I "Beeped" and had to be given the "wand test," then yes, I have. Luckily I haven't been one of those poor souls who got screened more than that, no.

I wear a brace on my knee so I always set off the alarms. It used (when I was in college in the 90's) to be that I showed them my brace and I was allowed on my way. Not any more! Now I get the full pat down, questions and everything.

I intentionally wore flip flops so I wouldn't have to take off my shoes. When they wanted me to take them off anyway, I refused. They let me through, then pulled my husband out. That made for a joyful trip.

10. Well, so far only 29% of us have never been pulled out of line |
|
Not really a valid statistical universe, but I wonder how that compares to the general population.
