Bush can not allow Saudi Arabia to create nukes |
|
If he wants any rationale for his Iraq policy to pass any kind of scrutiny in history, this idea of Saudi Arabia with nuclear weapons is a bad idea.
The problem with the Republicans is that they are defeatists. They believe in the "inevitability" of nuclear weapons proliferation. They refuse to cooperate within an international framework and believe the only way to prevent it is by going to war. Now here is the success of that policy. A country, with KNOWN ties to terrorist organizations; a country, where 15 of the 19 September 11th hijackers came from; a country that equally oppresses its people will develop nuclear weapons.
And Bush, for some strange unknown reason, is going to give them a pass...AGAIN.
Is there anything that Bush touches, that doesn't turn to shit?

5. jenk, this is why Iraq was such a mistake |
|
You're right. We are in a mess here. Iraq limits US response.
Bush has to work with other nations on a comprehensive international agreement on the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technologies. After he unilaterally withdrew from the ABM Treaty he offered no alternative. Now we're in a mess. Without a plan to move forward. The world has no direction, because America is not leading.

Secret agreement? How does the WT know about it?
This may or may not be true. But it could just as easily be the planted rationale needed to throw the PNAC and Oil agenda onto the fast track, get us committed to God Knows What before the Chimp gets dumped next year.

11. I still think it's possible this is fabricated |

to get a public beginning to weary of Mideast entanglements to go along with the ambitions of the PNAC. They need to be frightened back into a war frenzy, so Cheney's got a twofer brewing -- Iran and now supposedly, Saudi Arabia. Shiites and Wahabists with nukes, save us Dubya!
