Heads up .. Kucinich to be in Miami Thursday, October 23rd!!!
FIU North Campus, Kovens Conference Center

WE WANT YOU THERE!
(directions: http://kovens.fiu.edu/maps.htm turn east on 151st St from Biscayne Blvd, drive to the end and then left).

We are going to rally outside the Kovens Center. Try to be there by 4 PM. Bring signs, t-shirts (we have some for sale, first come first served) and lots of good spirit.

Please help spreading the word. THIS is the moment for Miami. Thursday is decisive for the campaign in this part of Florida! (Unfortunately, we may have to compete with the Marlins, but not all are sport fanatics I hope.)

Hope that YOU can show up, meet our next president, like-minded people, and have fun :-)

Ulf Erlingsson

PS. At 7 PM Dennis Kucinish will speak for the Southwest Voter Registration Project, at Radisson Hotel, 1601 Biscayne Blvd. Some will make a little rally there too, especially those who can't come to the first event.

1. should "moderates" even show up?
I have alot dem friends who will mostly not be busy, but they don't support Kucinich or even come close to him.

I doubt I could convert any to Edwards, or Kerry(I'm close to many Kerry-ers)

2. Why not?
I'm a Kucinich supporter but I plan to make an effort to hear any other Dem candidates who make public appearances in the Twin Cities.

And here I throw down a challenge to Miami: see if you can top the crowd that Minneapolis got. That's 1400 to 2000 people, depending on which journalistic source you choose to believe.

(Hint: Have as many people as possible nag your local media.)

3. Kucinich not nominee, all I will do Nov.2004 is show up.
I for one have no intention of seeing any other candidate in person, either. Kucinich is the only one that will get me off my kiester.
The other's issues about Nafta, Health Care, the War are totally inadequate. Well, I might choose to see Carol Mosley Braun.
The candidates don't have the right answers on these three issues- I will vote November 2004 for an alternative to Dubya. but to work hard and take time away from cycling- don't think so.
I have heard DK speak 4 times . The man is inspirational. Second best is not just good enough.. As to domestic issues, Gephardt at least has some integrity. Heard him once in '88 that is enough. Unlike DK, his stump speech never changes.
DK speaks off the cuff with the knowledge of a historian. No notes either.
