2. Just as he mentioned he was on tv with Cavuto...
that segment was on tv here. He did good even though Mike Gallagher was on for the counterpoint. ugh. MG is nothing but a big mouth. At the end of the segment, you could see Bernie taking off is lapel mic.

I've got a lousy audio connection tonight, btw.

5. The irony that those who support Bush* are the same people
who like the death penalty. and applaud the shock and awe.

seemed like he was on a tear last night. The state attorney voted for Arnold. Said Arnold's groping was just friskiness. BW seemed really ticked off. Just my observation.

...kinds of activities.

Bernie understands that. Freepers don't.

Freepers want YOU to stone anyone they point to.

...in the name of God, of course.

13. I'm going to Webb's show when Bernie is on break
What a treat to have two good liberal programs on like this. I had an hour to do dishes and clean up after Malloy and before Bernie. :)

P.S. If you Pause Webb's show on Real PLayer, the connection can get broken and RP shuts down. I found it's okay if I stop and start it instead.

23. thanks
thanks for the link to Webb's stream. I didn't know he was available streaming. www.mikewebb.org

I always listen to Bernie (can get KGO over the airwaves). But, I'll have to tune in Webb when Bernie's show sucks, which it usually does the few times that he decides to get away from politics, news, religion, current events and the best burger places in the Bay Area. Bernie is great as long as he stays on those subjects, which is what he knows best. I usually turn Bernie off when he starts talking about his kids, parenting, or sports and other wasteful topics like Gary Condit, Kobe, and other such topics.

Edited on Wed Oct-22-03 01:53 AM by eablair3
I known of a list of shows for quite a while maintained at

http://www.makethemaccountable.com/listening/index.htm

My usual listening (if and when I have the time) has been:

Starting in the A.M. and going the rest of the day and night:

Democracy Now
KPFA Morning Show
Thom Hartmann
Randi Rhodes (sometimes Radio Left)
Flashpoints by Dennis Bernstein on KPFA (my favorite)
Mike Malloy
Bernie Ward
Ray Taliafero

Plus -- on weekends -- Guy James, Karel, Larry Bemsky (Sunday Salon on KPFA) and Peter Werbe.

How's Enid Goldstein? Any others that anyone would recommend?

38. Yes, Thom Hartmann and Mike Malloy
Both stream from www.ieamericaradio.com

Thom's on from noon-3pm ET, Mon-Fri

Malloy from 9pm -Midnight ET

And there's:

Randi Rhodes @ WJNO from 3-7pm ET (Mon-Fri)

Go to www.buzzflash.com. Scroll to near the bottom. On the right side, click on "Progressive Radio." You'll get an idea of what's out there for you.

Oh, yeah. I also enjoy listening to www.radioleft.com (2 hours/day, repeated 24/7)

25. I emailed to KIRO the other day
asking if Webb could be streamed. The program director said they had to work out some things regarding advertising and copyrights. Maybe they were in the process of working it out and just got it done. A nice surprise to be able to have a choice like this.

40. The guy at KIRO said they were streaming it some time ago
But then the copyright issues arose and they had to stop. Maybe his site's streaming was also affected by the troubles.

I got the url for the current Webb streaming when someone posted it here several days ago. So, things are really hopping!

32. The difference with Bush*...
that's been brought out is that he is the first president that hasn't attended a single funeral or memorial. Also, there's been no mention of family approvals. The discussions I've heard is that the media is forbidden to obtain or show images - period. I'd like to know more about the family permission caveat since this is the first I've heard about it in this action. One more difference is that the bodies are arriving in the middle of the night. Has this also been the policy since Vietnam?

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia now have a nuclear cooperation pact. Pakistan has denied it and Saudi is not commenting. CIA believes that Pakistan has already delivered nuclear material to Saudi. They relied on satellite images.
