Is VoA working?

Can anyone report on how the propaganda is working in ME? I saw some video of Smirk telling the interviewer how great things are going, with "Voice Of America" superimposed on the screen. The thing was he was blinking furiously, and he obviously didn't believe or understand what he was saying. I wonder how the VoA claptrap is playing among the people we "liberated"?

but back in the 1970s, I had a fellow student who was a Soviet emigre.

I asked him about the VoA, and he said that he and his friends listened to it for the music (jazz and rock) and ignored the news, for the most part. They saw it as the polar opposite of Soviet news, just as propagandistic, only on the other end of the spectrum. They got their Western news from the BBC.
