Great story on NPR Re: SOTU claims |
|
"All Things Considered" did a 15 minute segment this evening in which they basically debunked all of the other claims that Bush made in the SOTU speech: That Iraq was buying aluminum tubes for use in making nuclear weapons; that Iraq had 100-500 metric tons of chemicla weapons stores, and; that Iraq was linked to Bin Laden.
All the tides really turning? Can I really allow myself to believe it this time?

I'm glad NPR didn't pull any punches on that segment, they're still my #1 favorite news source (aside from all of you here at DU). I think the tide IS turning because the media are like sharks and when they smell blood in the water partisanship takes a back seat to the feeding frenzy.

2. I understand completely |

I feel like I'm on a roller coaster. Some days it seems as though the lies are so blatant that no one can possibly overlook them. Other days I think it will be like Enron. And some poor Democratic soul will be the sacrificial lamb (look at the difference between Democrat Martha Stewart who MAY have made a few thousand dollars on insider trader and Kenny Boy who flits from mansion to mansion).
