Is C-SPAN still censoring Paul Krugman's recent Booktv appearance?

C-SPAN ONLINE CENSORS PAUL KRUGMAN -- C-SPAN Online Coordinator writes: "After being told I would be allowed to post Paul Krugman's speech online, and then passing the news onto you, it came down that we needed to hold off on such an action in order to maintain the balance of partisan voices featured on booktv.org."

I just got a very disturbing email from [e-mail], which says that, after promising in a mass email yesterday to put the video of Paul's speech in Shorewood, Wisconsin on their site, they will now break this promise. What's their reason? They will not post it "in order to maintain the balance of partisan voices featured on booktv.org." This sounds an awful lot to me like C-Span Online is censoring Krugman for his (very moderate) political views, and it is outrageous. BTW it was a fascinating talk about his new book and the current lunatics in the WH. Oh and a little bit of economic meltdown due to insane Republican policies of big spending and fractured revenue streams.

6. My gut feeling is that there is a problem at C-Span

They are sponsored and paid for by cable TV.

We all know what cable TV is all about as far as news. Those cable news companies, CNN (Time-Warner), NBC (GE), FOX (Murdoch) are nothing more than propaganda generators. They own a number of other cable companies.

It is impossible for C-Span to be balanced EXCEPT that the entire premise of their operation is balance and they may find it particularly difficult to turn against the public after all these years - years when we didn't even talk about our news outlets being propagandists.

They ooze partisanship towards the right wing.

Though they can't be faulted for alternating calls on Washington Journal, their guest list is starting to look like CNN, NBC, and Fox -AND THEY NEVER provide the affiliations of their guests. And their hosts often 'light up' when one of the right wing guests are on.
Their guest list stinks with propagandists. But perhaps there aren't enough Joe Conosons, Greg Palasts, Will Pitts out there.

Yes, C-SPAN should be written to, but we know how much good it does to write (Time-Warner), (GE), and (Murdoch).

It could be worse - a person might be dependent on a corporate sponsored propaganda pusher for an income. What misery. What debauchery.

After hearing about Krugman being on C-Span the other day, I turned on C-Span2, only to have Cablevision NY pull the plug at the half-hour and broadcast a infomercial instead. This happens quite a lot on C-Span2 on weekends - but I have no idea why.
