Will Pitt Gets Mention in Mark Morford's Morning Fix |
|
Way to go Will. You are Mark are 2 of my favorite writers.
Essential effluvia. Not just books and sex toys and wine. Updated always
Am coming to the not-so-slow conclusion that William Rivers Pitt over at truthout.org is one of the finest and most adept political/war columnists/commentators cranking copy today, and is becoming increasingly mandatory to read, and dances over the deep insult that is BushCo with aplomb and deadly accuracy, and if you've never read him, might as well start with the scathingly excellent Anybody But Bush.

1. I too love Mark Morford |
|
He's fabulous. I found this oddity on CNN - bet he talks about it soon! http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/Movies/10/24/gibson.passion/index.htmIt's the part about lightening shooting out "Christs" ear that got me!

He just wrote a short blurb about Will. See original post. Here's a link to his column today. http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2003/10/24/notes102403.DTL&nl=fix

Edited to get tenses straight in the first sentence.
Or something close to that.
Observe:
I always liked Jackson Browne's music, so I took a look at his website, where he recommends reading:
Arundhati Roy...who I've really liked since I saw her on Bill Moyers' program; Moyers, one of the finest journalists out there, who long ago turned me on to:
Joseph Campbell, a wonderful human being with beautiful and hopeful things to say about spirituality, and who comes highly recommended by:
Mark Morford, another one of the best journalists writing today, who recommends, among others, William Pitt, who:
Well, we all know about Will Pitt and we're proud to have an association with him.
I guess another, less convoluted way to say this, is that good ends up seeking out, and clumping with, other good. Maybe it all traces back to one source of Good. At the very least, like attracts like.
So let's congratulate William Pitt on his well-deserved and (I think) meteroic rise. And let's also congratulate ourselves on seeking out what is good and worthy of seeking out in this world.
Good job, everyone!
