Is there AN Y evil that they won't blame on Bush?
Sunday, October 26, 2003

-----------------

The hate just never stops.

Now it's George Bush's fault that the prime minister of Malaysia is an anti-Semitic bigot. This is what Paul Krugman, the leader of the Republican-haters on the New York Times opinion page, believes.

In case you missed it, a couple of weeks ago, the prime minister, Mahathir Mohamad, told an Islamic summit meeting: "The Europeans killed 6 million Jews out of 12 million. But today, the Jews rule this world by proxy: They get others to fight and die for them."

To make it worse, Mohamad got a standing ovation from 57 Muslim leaders.

This hate was astonishing enough. I didn't think it could be topped. But I underestimated the ability of Paul Krugman. He topped it. Krugman says you really can't blame Mahathir; Bush made him do it!

(For the rest:)

2. No, it wasn't Bush!
It was Clinton's penis that made the Malaysian PM utter those words.

8. Since when does TRUTH = BLAME???
What Paul Krugman said was the truth. Seems bush* was baffled that the Muslims think he is anti-muslim?? Gosh, seems he watches too much faux news and does not read enough REAL news or he would have had a clue!!!

9. Where is this rag published--clicked on the link and couldn't see
This guy's a loser--he's twisting Krugman's words, as well as making up things Krugman said.

Is there anything he won't blame on the liberal media?????

10. It makes you think
Matahir is an asshole. Although when it comes to economic issues, he is very smart. However, he is a corrupt politician himself and silences dissenters.

I have no doubt in my mind that Matahir is anti-semetic. However, what incited him to make those comments?

Krugman's op-ed makes you think. There was the war against Iraq. There was the dehumanization of Palestinians in Palestine. There was the war against Afghanistan AND there is an increase in rhetoric toward Iran.

This Iraq war pissed off a lot of Muslims around the world. It took away their dignity.

Is their anger justified? I think so.

Does Krugman's analysis makes sense? It does to me. What Muslim wouldn't be pissed off.

13. predictable
Since the facts are not on the side of the far right crowd, a pose of persecution is probably the easiest way to salve their consciences.

17. My email to the columnist.
Dear Mr. Bowers:

Decent people hate George Bush because he is evil, which when combined with his mental instability and position of power makes him dangerous. He has killed more innocent people than Osama bin Laden has. Does that give you wood?

Sincerely,

Snippy W. Shrub

19. In defense of the original post:...
go read the article. Krugman made the statemenrts that everything was being blamed on bush.

I see no problem with blaming things on bush, if they are his fault.

I have put up with the RW blaming Clinton for everything from peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, to bringing satan into the Oval Office.

In essence, the article refered to, is a defense of bush. It is wrong in many instances, but I can't say that bush pushed anti-semitic views on a bunch of radical Muslims.

It is a re herring, there are serious things to deal weith during bush's tenure, this is a case of smoke and mirrors.

21. Well, since you ask...
No.

I blame Boosh for our former allies beginning to look askance at our motives for everything we do. I blame him for getting us into a quagmire in Iraq. I blame him for one of his people in his administration outing a CIA agent. I blame him for allowing his corporate buddies to ship jobs overseas so I can't find a job. I blame him for the ever-ballooning deficit. I blame him for blocking any meaningful information from the White House meaning the American people can't figure out what's going on in Washington. I blame him for the degradation of the environment. I blame him for the flat tire I got a few days ago. I blame him for the diarrhea I had last week. I blame him for the toe I stubbed yesterday. I blame him for just being a smirky, slimy, ne'er-do-well cokehead alcoholic with an attitude, who's using up oxygen that he doesn't deserve.

But other than that, I think he's a GREAT human being and I'm even going to name my next bowel movement after him! :puke:
