Democrat presidential hopeful John Edwards has finally picked up a headline-grabbing endorsement in his quest for the White House: from Hollywood hottie Ashton Kutcher!

Actor Kutcher was busy this weekend prepping a $1,000-a-plate fundraiser planned for Wednesday in Los Angles for the North Carolina senator.

"Ashton has been brushing up on all the issues," says a source close to the FOX star.

When asked if Demi Moore was set to join her boyfriend Kutcher with a public endorsement of Edwards this week, the well-placed source suggests Moore is more aligned with Howard Dean at this stage in the campaign.

1. Well, not that I much care about celebrity endorsements...

...but considering that Demi was married to that GOP flak Bruce Willis, I'm glad she's leaning Dean. But brushing up on the issues? Ok, whatever...please, if the Dean team is out there listening, don't have Demi do any speaking engagements for you officially...
