UK: "We are now a client state"
There was a very clear, concise summary of the US/UK relationship
in yesterday's Guardian. It is a sadly accurate article.

Where is Guy Fawkes when you need him?

1. Guy Fawkes... or the infamous Euroskeptics
Loss of sovereignty for loss of sovereignty, I'd think the EU was the far better option. At least the EU package includes a minimum of democratic guarantees. De Gaulle tossed NATO (US) troops out of France, the Brits might be wise to do the same.

8. For what it's worth
I don't think Kennedy had anything to do with De Gaulle's decision. I think De Gaulle's war experience taught him it was best to preserve French independence from Uncle Sam. You'll recall that the French NATO row followed close on the heels of French withdrawal from Southeast Asia, and was almost simultaneous to De Gaulle's warnings to Washington about US entanglement in that part of the world.

3. I've been told
by some people that yes it is aparent, one reason
they have turned on the poodle...

We need to vote our fascist out, they need to drive
their fascist out and they need to find their Jefferson.

I read that article last night and today's statement
by Blair to Congress took on another flavor, kind of
a Colonial Governor giving a report to the Home Government.

Anybody up for a tea Party at ... Leeds?

5. Things will be HOT in the UK with the Chenny Oil Maps
Before 9-11 and before the inspectors went into Iraq, BFEE were planning the dividing up of the Iraq Oil fields.

Blair opened his mouth to soon.
