An influential British Muslim think tank has called on Muslims and non Muslims to mark President George Bush's state visit to the UK with a day of fasting.

The Muslim Association of Britain (MAB) has called for 20 November to be a day of fasting for Muslims and non Muslims to show solidarity with people around the world who have been a victim of American foreign policy."

1. When is he going there?
I hope they televise the protests.

Quote from C-Span caller: "They will throw the MOTHER of all protests"

I hope they shut down London and the airports.

2. JUst think what an economic statement this would make..
No one goes to McDonalds, no restaurants, even school kids stay away from cafeterias. What a global statement! Better than a peace march because you don't have to take off from work to participate.

3. That would be so Cool if all those opposed
to bush and the bushinc would do that for a "day" or a week! It would be easy for me cause I don't ever darken any of those corporate giants' doors.
