5. Important to note, this guy was a defense witness for Blair |
|
Edited on Fri Jul-18-03 03:16 PM by AP
He gave evidence that helped Blair.
Also, it's not clear what purpose it serves to kill a guy AFTER he gives evidence. It'll be important to know whether there was a follow-up scheduled.
In the movies, when you kill a guy after he gives evidence, it's usually in order to punish him, and silence anyone who might want to give similar evidence...and, remember, that evidence was exculpatory evidence for Blair in this case.
As an aside, I wouldn't be surprised if there were very powerful RWers who want Blair gone.
Also, it's interesting to note that the highest moments of Blair's last few months were (1) when he went to Iraq and (2) yesterday's speach. Both of those events were overshadowed by hints of scandal. (The allegations about sexing up the dossier, to which this death also relates, were made the day Blair was showing courage by going to Iraq -- something Bush would never do.

7. In that case the perfectly obvious POSSIBLE explanation of course is |
|
...that he was silenced after giving the evidence so that he can't later reveal that it was bullshit:
He gave evidence that helped Blair. Also, it's not clear what purpose it serves to kill a guy AFTER he gives evidence.
The other possible explanation of course is that he died of natural causes as many people do, both conspiracists and ordinary folks...

9. His evidence did NOT help Blair |
|
MP's came to the conclusion that he was not the main source for Gilligan's story. Not what Campbell and Blair hoped for.
Even after this Hoon and Blair kept insisting he's the guy, and BBC must "fess up"!!!
Care to think how this guy felt about such betrayal, his bosses deciding to ruin his life for utterly cynical political reasons?
Check your facts.
