Any Democrat who runs in these times has guts |
|
All of these nine people show incredible courage. To even entertain the thought to put yourself in the line of fire in the face of a government which runs the entire apparatus of power and has the whoring media on it's side and to know you will be mercilessly slimed is beyond me. I don't think I'd have the guts to face it. The relentless abuse would leave me unhinged. Do any of you think you might be able to face it? Let's hear it, DU'ers!

1. Howard Dean was asked how he could do it. |
|
His response was along the lines of "How will I live with myself if I don't?" Sometimes, you just gotta do what you gotta do. I couldn't run for office, though. Too many skeletons rattling around.

who stands up and basically critizes the government is full of courage.
Back in February I remember saying on AOL boards why this administration is wrong, why? I could not bear to be silent
So in short, ANY AMERICAN who has stood up and critized the Administration is courageous in my book... we may yet pay a heavy price for standing up.
This goes doubly for families of military personnel, as we risk not only our future, but the careers of those in teh service.
To be honest if my husband was staying, I don't know if I would have spoken so hard, but trust me, I have, and there are days I wonder what kind of a price we will pay for my standing up.

see anyone go through what he and his family went through. Now, I jusst wish someone would ask Slimy Shrub a question and get an answer. I really want to see him and his family (those of age) trashed and I mean it.

4. Being the first one to stand up is the always the hardest |
|
but I see many more people speaking out in the future because of people like Paul Krugman. Believe me, there is a reason the Right-Wing calls him "the most dangerous liberal in America today." Also, I think they fear Howard Dean more than they let on. He doesn't seem the slightest bit intimidated by the Knuckledraggers, which they hate

As do all their supporters.
Even Lieberman - he's taking it from both ends.

If any of the nine make the presidency, because of the political, economic, and diplomatic hardship that Bushco has brought to this nation, it will be the hardest job in this country's history.
