4. Yes
Dean appeals to the non voters which is good, the best thing you can do is to get people energized to go out and vote.

9. Election Day ought to be a holiday
I'm not so sure about criminalizing non-voting. Seems like it turns what should be a privilege into a chore.

Then again... Australia's voter turnout is somewhere in the 90% range.

6. Why are they misguided?
They seem to be guided in the right direction to me. :)

13. Iranian! Check yourself, Clark is cool, but so is Dean
Deal with it. He may be our nominee, and guess what... it could be a Dean/Clark ticket.

8. Haven't settled on a candidate
myself yet but things like that are a step in the right direction.

One of the things that helped Clinton in '92 was reaching out to the younger voters on MTV and Arsenio.

10. He's got a whole separate group
(in addition to Punx for Dean, that is) -- GenerationDean.

The campaign is leaving no stone unturned. VERY impressive.

Sid and Nancy are actually going to vote for Dean?

Punk Rock has always been anti-fascist and if Bad Religion's Greg Graffin endorses Dean, I'll immediately drop Kerry/Edwards and go with Dean. IMMEDIATELY.

Although I'd be surprised if Greg chooses Dean. My gut is he'd go with DK. The fact the guys from Blink 141 and Sum 182 dig Howard isn't enough for me...

BUT...It's a good start for How Dean.

12. Whoa! This is some serious shit!
I think I'm getting 60s flashbacks. And I love it! From the website:

Let's cut the crap and get right to it

No, we are not affliated or run by Dean for America.
This is volunteer work and we are not paid by the campaign.
We aren't set up by Kerry or Gephardt to destroy Dean and make him look bad. Dean likes punkers.
Yes, it is true that NONE of the other candidates replied to us when we were deciding who to swing into action for.
Yes, it is true that the other campaigns feel that they DO NOT need our vote.
We are from planet earth
We are changing the system, so get used to it
No, we don't care about hatemail, we just delete it
YES, this organization is for Punks, Goths, Skaters, Old School, New School and so on.
And finally...signing up ONLY means getting our name out however you see fit. Printing flyers, word of mouth..however.
Also..if you just want to send hatemail..get a life.
NO WE DO NOT think we are the voice of ALL punkers...were only the voice of PUNKERS that want to CHANGE the system and dig Dean. That's approx. 7,432 so far and 328 local bands. Thanks.

Welcome!!

As a member of the punk (goth, etc.) scene and as a citizen of the United States it is our duty to be the voice of reason and reality. We have preached "fuck the system" long enough. Now, it's time to change it. If there has ever been a time for us to revolt, it is now. Time to force America's Corporations to take a back seat. Time to force the media to accurately report world affairs. Time to call out rightwing fundamentalists on all of their misleading ideas and god fearing agendas. It is our duty to help expose the truth. Together we can show the world that punks know the true meaning of Democracy. We can easily tip the scales in our favor. By uniting with one common goal, with our support, one man can get the ball rolling and turn the tide. The time is now. The man is Howard Dean.

---------

Be still my heart! I LOVE It!

Eloriel
