It doesn't matter anyone's opinions on any of those things or how many others they persuade to their side if elections aren't fair.

I will vote because it is free and easy and a civic responsibility, and I want my vote to count just in case my election fairness attitude is just paranoia. If the votes actually are fairly counted I want mine to be one of them. But something tells me that the outcome will be programmed in long before the first votes are cast.

2. I was so happy watching Siegelman give his victory speech...

And then it was stolen just like that. On the bright side, so far Riley has been a better governor than I expected. Certainly a better one than any of the other Rethugs we've lived under in this state. At least he hasn't said that the Bill Of Rights doesn't apply to Alabama, like former governor James infamously said. Then again, the Bill Of Rights has become pretty much a moot issue in the country.
