They are organized to the teeth, they get out the vote on election day, and they carry an immense amount of clout within South Florida political circles. Annie Ackerman (1914-1989) -- also known as "The Condo Queen" -- of Miami, Miami-Dade County, Fla. Born in 1914. Democrat. Female. Jewish. Political leader among retirees from the North who live in condomimiums in southeast Florida; inducted 1986 into the Florida Women's Hall of Fame. Died in 1989. Burial location unknown.
