What if we became a monarchy?

This fear of mine really didn't arise until sometime last year. I was chatting with this person online, and he felt that Bush was ordained by God.

Now, I know Bush uses religious phrases of the sort, but I just figured that was just the way he is. However, these people wanted to make him a "King" because they felt he was chosen by God to lead the people (to where??? to the land of Zion???).

Anyhow, if Bush gets re-election, I have a feeling that these nutzos will come out in full force to make this country a monarchy. What do you think?

6. I was pondering our state of affairs the other day,

just feeling hopeless about what BushInc is doing to us. I had images of that cute cartoon, "Mr. Toad's wild ride". Mr. Toad was out of his mind, and through his bad decisions, a whole troop of weasels enter into his house, and proceed to trash it....(hmmmm).

I thought back to the Middle Ages, and what it must have been like. I felt profoundly sorry for these people, who had to accept whoever their Lord was, or some Duke or otherwise Landholder, and they were all his vassals. They had no say in the matter. They could only bow and scrape, and hope they had enough food in storage to last the winter.

And just imagine, it was FOR LIFE. Thank God, at least our servitude is only for 4 years (let's hope).
