I never understood the 'reign of terror' after the French Revolution until I saw the Rethug/BFEE/Novak gang in action. They screw people over, ruin their lives, rub their noses in it -- and gloat.

And sooner or later, there's a backlash. The problem with a revolution is that it's a war -- fought on your own territory -- and leaves devastation behind. And the way the Rethugs are doing their best to incite one is criminal.
