1. Disgusting! He's only on because of |
|
supporting Slimy Shrub - he still calls himself a Democrat - he didn't switch parties, etc. So why is this a news item for Russert. With all the things going on this is the best Russert can do.

4. My email to Zell Miller |
|
"Dear Senator Miller:
I understand that you have betrayed the Democratic Party and endorsed the unelected George W. Bush for another 4 year reign of incompetence.
So I understand your grand endorsement to approve the following:
-Running deficits as far as the eye can see and for generations to come;
-War profiteering for campaign contributions at the expense of American blood and on the backs of the American middle class;
-Illegal wars waged against sovereign nations based on a series of untruths told to the Congress, the United Nations and to the American people;
-Outing brave and courageous undercover CIA operatives for political revenge and putting our National Security and lives in peril;
-Fighting any and all investigations into what happened on September 11 so that future attacks against our country can be prevented;
-Sending our soldiers into a war zone as sitting ducks without proper planning, tactical support and equipment; and ignoring them when they come home in boxes or without limbs and letting the injured languish for weeks in filth without proper medical attention;
-Going to the Supreme Court to stop the counting of votes and denying the will of the American people;
-Running a government shrouded in secrecy and denying the public the right to know who has input into policy that will affect Americans and the middle class will eventually fund;
These are just a few positions that you are apparently in favor of, Senator. I guess that makes you a REPUBLICAN, doesn't it?
Why don't you just get it over with and switch parties? Instead of bashing and betraying your comrades, I believe that would be the honest and proper thing to do."

At the top, let me hope Mr. Dino Miller enjoy his little island as an outsider in "his party"...whichever that is.
My question is all about the timing. If the Rove machine is hoping to making points with "Raygun Democrats" (if any still exist) by having a guy with a (D) show up on Faux and other whore shows to kiss the chimp's ass, isn't this a bit premature? You'd think such a high-powered defection would be kept in the arsenal to pile on later in the campaign.
Methinks this regime is getting nervous with it's own flanks...moderates like Snow, Chaffee and others are already gone on a wide variety of this regime's agenda; especially the invasion, and now are under criticsm from Hagel and McCain...thus they want to "trot out a friend" and play the "see even a Democrat likes us". It works even better that Miller avows his "traditional" Democratic roots as some sort of bithright for the entire party.
We know Miller's "endorsement" of this unelected regime is absolute betrayal and hypcrisy of his party. But then Miller likes to consider himself "independent"...he doesn't care which party feathers his nest.
Any idea how Zell's good DLC friend, Bill Clinton, is reacting?

7. "... has all of Washington talking"? |
|
I haven't heard anyone talking about it. Except Republicans. Republicans madly trying to spin their assault on democracy as the fault of Democrats themselves. Republicans seem to need this stuff so they can keep up their illusion that they're really more "in touch with the American people".
