At current pace: 811 dead Americans in Iraq by 11/2/04 |
|
I sat down and figured out how many US soldiers would be dead if the current pace of killing in Iraq continued right up to election day. If the current pace continued, there would be 811 dead US soldiers on the day Mr. Bush stands before the voters next year. Last week that number was 799.
AND if that pace were to continue through former Gov. Bush's 2nd term as president, there would be a total of 2702 dead US soldiers by January 20, 2009.
Methods: I calculated these projections based on the daily pace of dead US soldiers since May 1, 2003, the day of the USS Lincoln announcement.

1. Haven't they been steadily increasing? |
|
And if that is so, at what rate and, charting that increase, how many more will be dead by 11/02/04?
