It's Not Time To Lay Off Rush Yet......
Edited on Sat Nov-01-03 03:11 PM by DemocratSinceBirth
I was driving in my car, listening to the radio, and heard commercials that OxyRush will be back soon.

We should never stop reminding conservatives that when their hero, OxyRush was trashing:

Bill Clinton

Wes Clark

Hillary Clinton

Gays

Feminists

Liberals

Homeless People

Democrats

Etcetera

Fill In The Blank

HE WAS ON DRUGS........

1. I was enjoying this month without him
You mean he's going to come back?

I look forward to the day when he is silenced permanently.

3. The time to lay off Rush will NEVER come.
He's fair game forever, as far as I'm concerned. He's made that bed. Now he can lay down in it and luxuriate for the years that make up the rest of his pathetic, miserable, and probably increasingly lonely life. And he better enjoy what's left of that miserable, pathetic, lonely life. At its worst it's bound to be a LOT better than what he can expect in the hereafter.

4. I have to listen to it in my office every day.
Our office radio is tuned into a talk radio all day, every day. We get Neal Boortz, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly and finally, Laura Ingraham. We are outnumbered 3-1 by republicans in our office. Majority rules the office radio. The "ditto-heads" strut around here giving me shit everytime one of the talking heads zings a democrat.

8. Do you the internet on your computer at your desk?
If so, go to www.democracynow.org and play archived radio shows! Especially the ones with Noam Chomsky. Totally left and progressive. Guaranteed to make them hot under the collar.

14. Because Skittles, the partner in charge of our office likes his
talk radio. I like paying my bills. Ergo, I don't complain in public.

5. Over and above that, HE IS A CRIMINAL...
Edited on Sat Nov-01-03 04:13 PM by rocknation
Buying enough pills to warrant a charge of having intent to distribute. Let's see how long it takes him to set foot back in Florida where the authorities are waiting to question him. We may also be able to add that HE IS A FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE...

P.S. It's a shame that Rush shares his name with one of world's best hard rock bands. But the folks at Camp Chaos have done something about it!

12. So If 30 Days Ain't a Dent in Rehab Terms
what's going to be the game plan-----prescriptions to wean the weenie? Seems like Tony SNOWjob was WAY HAPPY when he substituted. So was DRUDGE, out of his Sunday night dungeon, and still screwing up the playbacks and and with long silences. And the WIENER-"Savage" was not invited, of course, although he probably is transparent with LIMBOsevic in wingnuttiness. WIENER said, "I'm not a glorified disc jockey who lucked into (talkshow big time)." Even if he makes it like IMUS through rehab, he's permanently down the wingnut toilet------unless, UNLESS----*hypocrisy* in wingnuts keeps his career going?---could it be?

My officemate a recovering alchoholic used to drink like twenty cups of coffee a day... An addict will get his fix somehow....

18. Detox + Counseling = Rehab
Rush's pair of 24-hour detoxes should have proved to him that physical withdrawal is only half the battle. He thinks he can take a thirty-day vacation away from temptation and pick up his life where he left off? Rehab also means getting rid of THE REASON WHY he prefers being high. (My guess is that he's come to hate the person that others thinks he is, but he's got too money and power to give it up.) Otherwise, as DemocratSinceBirth says, he'll just come up with a substitute addiction if he does manage to stay away from the pills--caffeine, food, religion, or that nicotine who he swears has not been proven to be addictive.

13. I even think some dittoheads cleared the cob webs from their brains
during Rush's absence. Deep down inside I know many of the dittoheads feel embarrassed and betrayed...but they will never show it.

15. If he had 20 million listeners before, he'll have 20 million listerners
after he returns. Ditto-heads don't give a shit if their hero is a pill-popping junkie. They love what he says.

17. Maureen Dowd Hit OxyRush's Appeal Right On The Head.....
His acolytes like to their own views shouted back at them....

I think Maureen Dowd can be harsh at time to Dems but she is a great writer who skewers her subjects with irony...

20. Oxydittos! The shittoheads won't care about his hypocrisy.
Shittoheads listen to Rush because he is a liar, a bigot, and a hate monger. He validates their beliefs.
